Privacy policy

Fabio Solutions (“we”) operates Solar First Look. We collect as little personal information as we can, use it only to provide our service, and never sell it or share it without your permission.
What we collect and why

We read only energy information from bills. Our bill-reading system has no fields for names, account numbers or other personal details and is instructed not to return them.
We don’t collect card numbers (PayPal handles payment). Our site statistics (on public pages only, never on checkout, roof check results or reports) record the page, the referring website, country, device type, browser, time on page and how far you scrolled. They use no cookies and don’t store IP addresses: visitors are counted with a one-way code that changes every day, so you can’t be followed from one day to the next.
Service providers, and processing outside Canada
We use these providers, which may process or store information outside Canada, mainly in the United States, where it may be accessible to courts, law enforcement and national security authorities under local law:
- Cloudflare — website hosting, database and file storage.
- Google — address lookup, roof data and satellite images (Google Maps Platform). Use of map features is subject to the Google Maps Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
- PayPal — payments.
- Anthropic — reading the electricity bill you upload (after payment) and analysing changes on official rebate pages.
- Email provider — sending receipts and, if you subscribe, the newsletter.
- Cloudflare Turnstile — protecting the address check from automated abuse.
Your choices and rights
The newsletter is optional and you can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email. We never add you to it because you bought a report.
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information by emailing hello@solarfirstlook.com. Questions about our privacy practices, including our use of service providers outside Canada, can go to our Privacy Officer at the same address.
Security
Reports are reachable only through a private link. Uploaded files are stored privately and deleted promptly. We use encryption in transit, access controls on our administration tools, and logs that leave out personal information. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected people and the relevant privacy regulator as the law requires.
